Design to Make a Difference is a design/engineering program that combines Maker-Education with altruism in a product-based learning format. Our goal is to be inclusive, celebrate the thriving Maker-Ed programs of Pittsburgh, and provide opportunities for educators and students looking to improve their practice. Our mission is to increase STEM Equity by providing access to quality equipment, materials, support, professional development, and a platform to showcase student work.
We are challenging elementary, middle and high school teams from the Greater Pittsburgh Area schools to create a product that helps an individual, group, or local/global community.
